In Ruins is a tabletop storytelling and dungeon building game for 1-6 players.

Firstly, everyone generates the history of a castle as it is built around the initial throne room, adding rooms and special items (of varying values) as they go.
Secondly disasters occur and players destroy or damage rooms to disadvantage their opponent's faction in the third stage.
Finally, players use their factions to control the most valuable rooms in the Dungeon, gaining control of the old Throne room and winning the game.

• Full play-time of 1.5-2 hours can be divided up over multiple sessions.
• Includes story-game aspects where players collaborate to create the history of the castle.
• The process of laying out the castle’s rooms in the first round and then ruining them in the second round creates the dungeon.
• Players control classic fantasy factions (such as Kobolds, Cultists, and Undead) with asymmetric abilities as they vie for dominance over the dungeon.
